They discovered a dog named “Georgia” residing at a petrol station in Rocky Point, near the US-Mexico border. Sunshine Dog Rescue, headquartered in Phoenix, tracked her down and delivered her to the shelter.
Georgia was discovered to be pregnant, but none of the puppies survived. According to ABC Arizona, they were all born prematurely.
Georgia was distraught and unhappy after losing all of her puppies, according to Anita Osa, founder of Sunshine Dog Rescue.
Anita stated,
“I’ve never known a mother to lose an entire litter. She was frantic was the only way she could describe it. She was in such a bad mood that she started searching for those infants. In her search for her kids, she tore up the toddler mattress we had her on.”
Anita sent out a cry for aid on social media, asking for any animal in need of a nursing mother, in the hopes that Georgia would begin her physical and mental healing process.
That’s how they came upon a trio of orphaned kittens in desperate need of a mother to help them flourish.
