The best way to explore this national park is to hike through the 4x4 trail which will give you the best views including breathtaking views of trees and animals including the world's smallest turtle and other stone blocks look very artistic. The third trail, the Heaviside Hiking Trail, which stretches less than four miles along the remote Namaqua coast, is especially popular during flower season, as it takes hikers through the most beautiful wildflower beds. Along the way, you'll walk along white sand beaches, explore tidal pools, and get a chance to see Heaviside dolphins and humpback whales from the shore. This Heaviside trail starts at the Abjoel lookout near the Groen River office and is not circular.
