The officer brought both the cat and the dog to Anderson County P.A.W.S. to receive the necessary care. Officer Smith expressed how incidents like this exemplify why she cherishes her profession. The kitten was named Kate, and the dog was named Goldie.
They subsequently shared a social media post featuring Goldie and Kate, which quickly gained widespread attention. The post garnered over 430,000 likes and was shared 88,000 times, spreading their heartwarming story far and wide.
