He fell by the river after running away from the hunters who were firing at him! So he laid there for days in terror and anguish. He couldn’t move for days, hungry and thirsty, even though the river was just next to him! I’m sure he couldn’t sleep because of the cold!
They discovered him in a difficult field! Freezing, hungry, exploring, and frantic in anguish! When has he been lying in this position? How did he end up in this situation? How serious is the injury?
Fahrudin saw that the dog is unable to stand!
“The puppy we rescued today near Sarajevo is in excruciating pain!” Perhaps he will never walk again! Maybe he’ll never run joyfully and freely again!… Maybe it’s all about tonight!” Fahrudin said.
Imagine the horror for this poor critter when they started shooting at him! Oh many painful sighs! His pain and fear! He hungry and thirsty.
The vet team were doing everything to preserve his life and after six days Cuko still alive and he wish to live. Cuko is now crippled only because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Shot full with buckshot by an unknown person!
The vet stated the next few days will be about strengthening him physically.. .and then analyzing whether he will endure the operation to remove the buckshot from his spine, and whether he will have a chance to walk again after that.
“There’s one thing definite for now, our will to help him is and will be just as great as his will to live and, based to what we’ve seen so far, his will to live is immense!”
