This fortunate individual found the impressive gold nugget on the outskirts of Ballarat, Victoria state, Australia, on July 26.
Mark Day, a specialist in providing equipment for gold miners in Gold Ballarat and a gold trader, exclaimed that this is the largest nugget he has come across in decades.

"I've been trading gold for 25 years, and this is the largest nugget that one of my customers has unearthed," revealed Mr. Day.
The individual who found the 2kg gold nugget is an amateur mineral prospector. On that fateful day, he ventured into the woods equipped with a metal detector in search of gold.

Initially, when he stumbled upon a bullet, he felt disheartened and contemplated giving up. However, when the metal detector continued to signal, he sensed there was more beneath the surface. After persistent digging, he unearthed a gold nugget buried 1 meter deep underground.
Mr. Day mentioned that a customer who had discovered a piece of gold had brought him along to see it in person.
"When he showed me the gold, initially, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was unsure of what to do with it and went without sleep for three days afterward," said Mr. Day.

Nevertheless, the fortunate prospector who unearthed the 2kg gold nugget doesn't appear to have given up his quest. Mr. Day mentioned that the man had invested in a cutting-edge metal detector to return to the area in search of more gold.
"He firmly believes there is still a significant amount of gold there. After discovering the aforementioned gold, who can argue that his belief is unfounded?" Mr. Day added.
This particular gold piece has garnered offers from numerous collectors, reaching up to 160,000 Australian dollars (equivalent to nearly 2.6 billion VND), but the man has yet to part with it.
